LineupFair is part of Rooh Sites' collection of free single-purpose web tools. It is built for volunteer coaches and team parents in recreational youth baseball, softball and T-ball, who build an inning-by-inning defensive chart by hand before every game.
Why we built it
Most fielding-rotation templates online are a blank grid you fill in yourself, and the apps that do the arithmetic ask for an account. Coaches are busy, and the chart has to be ready before the first pitch. LineupFair works out who sits, who plays where and what the batting order is, in your browser, with no sign-up.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature is free, with no account and no paid tier. Each PDF has a small “Made with LineupFair” line in the bottom margin, and that is how other coaches find the tool.
How it works
Everything runs in your browser. The rotation solver is plain JavaScript that runs on your device, PDFs are built there with the open-source jsPDF library, and your roster, charts and season are kept in your browser's local storage. Nothing you type is uploaded.
LineupFair is independent and is not affiliated with any league, governing body or app. Every rule in the tool is a coach setting, not league policy, and league rules vary, so check yours. The tool does not track pitch counts.
